Laura and William’s Engagement
Last summer, William had contacted us to inquire about a special portrait session for himself and Laura. He had a proposal and ring in the works and he wanted to have their special moment photographed.
Together we planned a portrait session for Laura and himself, and kept the proposal a surprise until they were both camera ready.
Here are some of our favourite shots of their engagement from the fall!

An Update
It has been quite some time since we have posted on our blog. Over the past months we have been busy moving into our new place in North York, while keeping busy with work (for Jonathan) and my PhD research (data collection, writing, etc.). We are also in the early stages of planning our wedding, which has also kept us pretty busy.
Given our schedule, it seems like we will be retiring from wedding photography. We always prided ourselves on being well organized, and prepared for all the weddings we shot. Our current schedule would make it difficult for us to do so, and we would never want to be in a position where we can’t give a potential client our all.
We will still be taking on smaller scale shoots, however, such as engagement and portrait (family or solo) shoots. We did shoot a surprise engagement over the fall that we will be sharing that soon!

Wrapping Up 2013
We made 2 new friends today: Jake and Noah. These kids have so much energy. Below is a sneak peek of our session with them.
It has been an awesome couple of weekends for us. We had the opportunity to work with different families and had an amazing experience shooting infants and toddlers. Bottom line, nothing goes as planned. Just have to dive in and think outside the box. This wraps us 2013 for us, it’s now time to work on things that have been “neglected” for a while now: designing our website and venturing back to good old film photography.
All in all, we both have had quite the busy and stressful year in terms of our academic lives. We somehow managed to keep our passion for photography alive while trying to finish our Masters programs. Also, we are really excited for our trip back to the Motherland (Mauritius) at the end of the year, stay tuned for our future updates.

Familiar Faces in Park – Part 2
We were definitely lucky today. The weather forecast called for rain throughout the day but we were able to get almost one hour of clearing to squeeze in a family photoshoot.
The intense 100+ km/h winds we experienced yesterday definitely helped to set that fall mood we were looking for, leaving all the trees bare and the ground all colorful.
Here are a few pictures we took. Little baby James has grown so much since we saw him last year.

Familiar Faces in Park
Last December we ventured into baby and family portraiture and loved the experience. As such, we were delighted to be given the chance to work with one our first family clients again, last weekend. We were shocked when we saw the youngest member of the family! Last we saw him, he was just a few days old…and he’s since gotten so big!
Here are some of the photos we got. 🙂

Capturing Candid Family Time
It’s been a quite some time since our last post! We have been extremely busy with school. It’s been crazy weeks of focusing on studying and prepping for oral exams or practical exams. Nevertheless, we were able to squeeze in 2 lovely family shoots last weekend.
For our first shoot, we had the pleasure of working with this super active and lively family! Here are a few pictures we captured around their home. 🙂
